Job description
Summary
Maxen is a Montreal-based company focused on reducing the environmental footprint of buildings through optimized operations and energy management. As a QA Specialist, you will ensure the quality of software releases by designing and implementing testing processes and collaborating closely with development teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement and automate unit/regression/e2e test scripts for our application (JavaScript / ES6 / Vue.js 2) and platform (Python 3 / Django / DRF)
- Define, review and implement quality policies based on industrial standards
- Identify, document, prioritize bugs in our application
- Organize, plan, support and follow-up on corrective actions and bug fixes
- Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Write and update change logs and documentation for each release
- Work closely with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements in a dynamic start-up environment
Skills
- Experience with SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) products
- Strong experience with writing clear and concise unit, regression, e2e tests scripts
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Self-learner that is capable to quickly adapt to a dynamic environment and master new features
- Highly motivated, autonomous and organized individual that is attentive to details
- Strong communication skills in French and English, both oral & written
- Experience in UX, TDD, BDD, DevOps, DevSecOPS (an advantage)
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (an advantage)
- Experience with performance & security testing (an advantage)
- Spanish an advantage
