Summary
MBJ Network is a news and media production company covering sports, entertainment, fashion, business and finance, politics and public policy, and STEM. The Assistant Managing Editor (Writers) Intern will support the editor in chief by managing written content, proofreading articles, coordinating writers, scheduling press releases, and maintaining the company’s social media presence.
Responsibilities
- Will assist the editor in chief with managing the release of all written material before it is published to the mainstream outlets
- Proof read submitted articles-stories in the effort to select the most professional and entertaining content that will attract interested readers
- Co-Manage a staff of 3-5 internal writers
- Schedule press releases
- Maintain a strong marketing presence via social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc)
Skills
- Completed or pursuing a degree-certificate in journalism or media related field, or relavent experience
- Ability to maintain a professional approach at all times
