Job description

Summary

McAngus Goudelock & Courie is a civil litigation firm with a finance team supporting its operations. The Accounting Clerk will perform bookkeeping and accounting duties, investigate and resolve accounting issues, approve payment exceptions, and reconcile bank accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Handle accounting/bookkeeping duties: to include banking, general ledger bookkeeping, financial statement preparation and analysis
  • Research, track, and resolve accounting problems
  • Approve ACH and Positive Pay Exceptions
  • Reconcile bank accounts

Skills

  • High school diploma required
  • Basic understanding of Bank Reconciliations, Debits and Credits
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and bookkeeping principles
  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in Business or Accounting preferred

Qualifications

Must Haves

  • High school diploma required
  • Basic understanding of Bank Reconciliations, Debits and Credits
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and bookkeeping principles

Nice to Haves

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in Business or Accounting preferred
