Overview

Join the Microsoft Specialized Cloud (MSC) team - the next generation of platform and experiences enabling Microsoft and Azure, the fastest-growing cloud platform in the world which makes billions of dollars in revenue. As a Technical Program Manager Intern, you will design product architecture and develop solutions to complex technical needs, while identifying trends in product quality and performance, to deliver on the roadmap. You will drive continuous improvement in quality, profitability, supportability and delivery, and act as in-house advocate for millions of people worldwide who use Microsoft products. This opportunity will allow you to lead the development and implementation process for products and services that exceed customer expectations, work cross functionally with internal and external partners, and define or change existing features.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates ability to understand the problem and then learn and adopt relevant new technologies, tools, methods and processes to leverage in solutions.
  • Responsible for aspects of the full product lifecycle, working on feature planning and design, managing the development specifications, monitoring ongoing operations to better understand customer experiences, and determining if the team needs to take action.
  • Communicates throughout the full product lifecycle to create clarity on progress towards delivery, technical challenges, and customer needs using a data driven approach.
  • Leads the development and implementation and generates energy for our products and services.
  • Works collaboratively with teammates to ensure our products exceed customer and market expectations, while delivering on the roadmap.
  • Represents project with compelling documentation and presentations to internal and/or external stakeholders.
  • Embody our culture and values. 
Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree with at least one semester/term of school remaining following the completion of the internship.

Other Requirements: 

Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.
  • Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • Citizenship & Citizenship Verification:This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customer and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 1+ year(s) experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development.
  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
