The Junior Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and backend services in an Agile environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Developed and maintained Java applications and backend services in accordance with business and technical requirements
- Wrote clean, maintainable, and reusable Java code following established development standards and best practices
- Assisted with the design and implementation of new application features and enhancements
- Worked with Spring/Spring Boot to develop RESTful APIs and backend services
- Participated throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements analysis through development, testing, deployment, and support
- Collaborated with Business Analysts and Project Managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Worked closely with QA and automation testing teams to troubleshoot defects and resolve application issues
- Debugged application issues, analyzed logs, and performed root-cause analysis to identify and resolve software defects
- Developed and executed unit tests to validate application functionality and improve code quality
- Integrated applications with databases using SQL, JDBC, and/or ORM frameworks
