Job description

Summary

Mutual of Omaha is an insurance company seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join its Enterprise Print Services team and help modernize systems, processes, and vendor partnerships. The role connects business needs with technology by analyzing processes, supporting Agile projects and migrations, coordinating with stakeholders and vendors, conducting testing, and facilitating solution implementation and adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and improve business processes. Gather and analyze requirements, assess impacts across people, processes, systems, and operations, and develop recommendations that support business objectives and continuous improvement
  • Support modernization and technical projects. Help manage the team’s backlog, coordinate project activities, support migration efforts, and use Agile practices to prioritize work, facilitate decision-making, and keep teams aligned on goals and outcomes
  • Partner with technology, business stakeholders, and vendors. Build strong relationships, coordinate vendor requests, communicate effectively across teams, and represent Enterprise Print Services with internal and external partners
  • Plan and execute testing. Create test plans and scripts and perform manual or automated testing for enhancements, upgrades, and ongoing system maintenance to ensure business, technical, and functional requirements are met
  • Drive successful implementation and adoption. Develop communications and training materials, provide information for cost-benefit analysis, and support the implementation of solutions that improve business operations and the customer experience

Skills

  • Business analysis experience. Experience using business analysis techniques to understand business and technical needs, analyze workflows, solve problems, and develop practical solutions
  • Project and Agile experience. Experience coordinating projects or initiatives and organizing work to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze data and information, identify opportunities, assess potential impacts, and make thoughtful decisions with a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to effectively communicate with and influence a variety of stakeholders, including business partners, technology teams, vendors, and customers
  • Adaptability and technical curiosity. Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment while developing knowledge of business systems, tools, processes, and methodologies
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira, Workfront, or similar platforms
  • Experience with enterprise print services, print production, or print operations
  • Knowledge of insurance industry operations
