Summary
NBT Bank is seeking a Client Service Specialist to support client service for an assigned book of business. The role focuses on daily record-keeping, administration, compliance support, reporting, and communication with clients, plan sponsors, advisors, and internal teams to ensure service standards and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Deliver client service for daily record-keeping, administration and servicing of assigned book of business to promote revenue growth, productivity and exceptional levels of customer satisfaction
- Proactively ensure plans are administered in compliance with plan provisions and current pension laws and regulations
- Discuss the compliance testing process/results and all required government filings
- Ensure that all services are delivered within EPIC RPS' documented service standards through timely communication with clients, plan sponsors, advisors and day to day contacts
- Daily report monitoring and management, document pertinent client communication and provide internal and external project management support
- Effectively communicate with all operational teams to ensure that record-keeping items are maintained for all assigned plans
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
- Associate's degree and two (2) years' customer service related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and technical procedures
- Ability to write routine correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively with both internal and external contacts
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to develop software skills provided by internal training within a reasonable time as determined by the Manager
- Communicate effectively with internal and/or external customers
- Stationary 75% of the time or greater
- Move objects up to a maximum 10 lbs
