Hands-on experience in professional theatre administration!
The NVA Administrative Internship offers immersive, hands-on experience in either Marketing or Production. Interns will work closely with the New Village Arts team to support a wide range of administrative and creative initiatives.
This internship is designed to help participants build practical skills, make industry connections, and contribute meaningfully to NVA’s season programming.

Available Opportunities
Marketing Intern(with a particular interest and skill set in video editing and digital content creation)
- Ideal for individuals who are passionate about storytelling, community engagement, and the role of marketing in bringing live theater to wider audiences.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Editing short-form video content for social media and digital marketing
- Providing on-site videography support at performances, rehearsals, events, and community outreach initiatives
- Supporting content creation for social media, email newsletters, and print materials
- Working closely with the Marketing Team to plan and execute campaigns for all New Village Arts departments
- Supporting occasional postering, outreach, and community engagement efforts
- Ideal Candidate:
- Creative, detail-oriented, and a strong writer
- Interested in arts marketing, social media, or communications
- Comfortable juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Passionate about live theater and excited to connect with diverse audiences
- This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in arts marketing while helping amplify the mission and programs of a professional theater company.
- This is an unpaid internship, available for academic credit, with an anticipated commitment of approximately 10–15 hours per week.
ACADEMIC CREDIT
To receive academic credit, it is the appliciant’s responsibility to coordinate this with their institution. NVA is happy to complete any necessary paperwork required by the appliciant’s institution.This is an unpaid educational opportunity designed to offer hands-on experience in exchange for college credit.
