Summary
The Village Voice is a historic alternative newsweekly seeking a Marketing & Events Intern to assist their marketing department during the Fall 2016 semester. This internship offers hands-on experience in marketing campaigns, social media, and event production.
Responsibilities
- Create and fulfill giveaways and contests
- Assist with social media efforts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat
- Assist with street team promotions and marketing campaigns
- Research leads for potential sponsors and partners of special events
- Assist in production logistics of special events
- Assist with smooth execution of event sponsorships and summaries
- Manage inventory of promotional swag items
- Research applicable marketing and event partnerships
- Archive marketing and event materials
- Track and capture partnership screenshots and campaign assets
Skills
- Must be eligible to receive academic credit
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Available to start in September through December
- Candidates who do not include a cover letter will not be considered
- Active interest in social media, marketing, events, and promotions
- A passion for music, film, arts, and New York City culture
