Job description

Summary

Northern Impact is a mid-size Los Angeles Architecture + Interiors studio known for its award-winning healthcare designs. They are seeking a Job Captain with healthcare experience to assist in architectural project solving and contribute to various design phases.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares design and construction documents and assists in architectural project solving
  • Develop and maintain BIM models, design documentation, and coordinate project deliverables throughout all phases
  • Produce sketches, 3D renderings, and animations using various design software
  • Assist with architectural assignments and collaborate on designs provided by others
  • Analyze building and spatial concepts in both 2D and 3D, translating them into comprehensive plans, elevations, sections, and perspective views
  • Contribute to the technical design process, detailed design development, project coordination, and quality assurance at every stage
  • Prepare precise and fully coordinated construction documents, ensuring completeness and accuracy during all project phases
  • Support the development and implementation of architectural graphic standards for the team
  • Participate in internal meetings to coordinate design specifications and ensure alignment with project drawings
  • Take on additional related duties as assigned, contributing to project and studio success

Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of professional architectural experience
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work under own initiative
  • Responsive and dependable to meet deadlines
  • Excellent visual, verbal and written communications skills
  • Working knowledge of architectural graphic standards
  • Exceptional Revit and CAD skills
  • Acute healthcare experience preferred, but not required; candidates with DSA or life sciences backgrounds will also be considered
