Project Controller, Delivery, AMERS

Summary

Nscale is a GPU cloud company providing high-performance infrastructure for AI startups and enterprises. The Project Controller will manage the financial and administrative activities of multiple data center construction projects, including cost control, invoicing, reporting, forecasting, compliance, and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Project Setup — Assist in the administrative setup and documentation for new projects. Support the team from due diligence through project delivery
• Stakeholder Support — Provide support and tracking for the project management team and other internal stakeholders, including Design, Equipment Procurement, Construction Management, and Health & Safety
• Process Improvement — Recommend and implement improvements to project processes
• Cost Management — Track and maintain a view of commitments and costs against the project's established budget baseline
• Invoicing & Payment — Administer requisitions, process invoices, manage Purchase Orders (POs), and coordinate payments to vendors
• Tracking & Reporting — Maintain budget tracking tools, perform detailed cost tracking, and work with Cost Managers to produce financial forecasts and reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Issue Identification — Continuously monitor the projects' financial and scheduling factors, identifying and clearly expressing any concerns or deviations from the baseline
• Compliance — Ensure project financial activities comply with company policies and financial regulations

• Proven experience in project financial control, cost management, and project administration
• Proficient understanding and hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Google Suite are required
• Strong analytical skills, numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with key requirements in understanding data center construction
• Ability to communicate effectively across a number of different business functions
• Strong presence and decision-making capability
• Pragmatic, risk-based leadership style suited to fast-paced construction environments
• High judgment in high-consequence scenarios
• Ability to challenge delivery teams while maintaining partnership
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, Engineering, or Construction Management is typically preferred
• Familiarity with common project management systems is a plus
