Summary
NTT DATA Europe & Latam is seeking a Java Developer with AWS to support backend development initiatives for a financial services and asset management client. The role focuses on building distributed workflows with AWS Step Functions, developing serverless applications, integrating backend systems and APIs, and supporting cloud deployment and CI/CD processes.
Responsibilities
- Building and managing distributed workflows using AWS Step Functions
- Developing serverless applications and integrations using AWS services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge)
- Designing scalable, event-driven architectures aligned with enterprise standards
- Integrating workflow solutions with backend systems and external APIs
- Participating in architecture discussions and defining technical solutions
- Ensuring high code quality through best practices, testing, and code reviews
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams across delivery locations (onshore/offshore)
- Supporting deployment and CI/CD processes in cloud environments
Skills
- Strong AWS development experience
- Hands-on experience with AWS Step Functions
- Experience with EventBridge, SNS, and SQS
- Good understanding of event-driven / serverless architectures
- Strong backend development skills (preferably Java or similar JVM-based languages)
- Experience building and integrating APIs and microservices
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver production-quality code
- Experience migrating workflow/orchestration platforms (e.g. Camunda or similar) to AWS Step Functions
- Experience with AWS Lambda and serverless patterns
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for serverless flows
