Java AWS Developer

Summary

OVA.Work is seeking an experienced Java AWS Developer to design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to build secure and high-performance enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and deploy microservices on AWS
• Develop scalable RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services
• Design and implement event-driven architectures using AWS services
• Develop serverless applications using AWS Lambda where applicable
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and availability
• Integrate applications with relational and NoSQL databases
• Implement security best practices using AWS IAM, Secrets Manager, and encryption
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
• Monitor application health and troubleshoot production issues
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and Agile ceremonies
• Create and maintain technical documentation

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in Java development
• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8/11/17)
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices
• Strong SQL and database knowledge
• Experience with Git and version control
• Knowledge of Docker and containerization
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Experience with Kubernetes or Amazon EKS
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture
• Experience with Apache Kafka or Amazon SQS
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Experience with Redis or Amazon ElastiCache
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Python (Preferred)
