About the company

Hiring is changing faster than ever we could have imagined. But the way people discover, evaluate, and trust talent hasn't kept up.

Job description

Summary

Obble is a company that utilizes AI to streamline the hiring process for staffing agencies. The Product Engineer role involves building the systems that manage positions, candidates, and interviews, as well as developing the APIs and interfaces that recruiters use.

Responsibilities

  • Take features from a rough problem statement to something agencies use, including the schema, the API, and the interface
  • Write the tests that let us ship on a Friday: we treat the suite as the gate, not as paperwork
  • Keep tenant isolation airtight. Every agency's data is separated in the database itself, and that guarantee is never negotiable
  • Read the recruiter's screen as carefully as the code. Speed and clarity in the product are engineering decisions here

Skills

  • Three or more years building production web applications, with real ownership of what you shipped
  • Strong TypeScript, and comfort in both a Node API and a React codebase
  • Working knowledge of relational databases: you can read a query plan and you know why an index exists
  • A habit of writing things down, because a remote team runs on what you wrote
  • NestJS, Next.js, Drizzle, or Postgres row-level security
  • You have worked somewhere small enough that nobody handed you the requirements
  • Portfolio or GitHub
