Job description

Summary

Open iT is a leading provider of advanced hardware & software usage reporting and optimization solutions. The Systems Administrator/Engineer will be responsible for installing and configuring Open iT products and ensuring successful deployment while collaborating with the presales team.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the installation, configuration and successful delivery of Open iT products
  • Collaborate with presales team to ensure that all information is complete and documented, the products are tested in a similar environment of the client, and the product deployment is successful and on time

Skills

  • One year of work experience in any of the following; software development, ITS, technical support, and quality assurance
  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows, UNIX/Linux based environments
  • Experience with virtualization (e.g. VMWare, Hyper-V, RHEV)
  • Experience with logging, monitoring and reporting systems
  • Exposure to automated or unattended installation
  • Knowledge in scripting skills (i.e. shell scripts, batch/PowerShell, Perl, Ruby, Python)
  • Good documentation skills
  • Proven working experience in at least two of the following license managers: FlexNet, IBM, LUM, NetHASP, DSLS (Dassault), Sentinel RMS
  • Effective English communications and presentations skills
  • Knowledge in multiple programming languages (i.e. C/C++, C#)
  • Knowledge in cloud computing (preferably in AWS)
  • Has a MCP/LPIC certification or equivalent
