Job description
Summary
OrthoBerry is a company that specializes in providing a vertical operating system for orthodontic practices in the United States. They are looking for a passionate Node.js Developer to join their backend team to build and maintain robust backend services for their flagship products.
Responsibilities
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js and Express
- Design and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend code
- Work with MySQL and MongoDB for data storage and optimization
- Write clean, scalable code using TypeScript
- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and QA teams for seamless integration
- Use GitHub for code versioning and CI/CD workflows
- Containerize applications using Docker for consistent environments
- Ensure security and data protection in backend services
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting
Skills
- 3–7 years of professional experience in Node.js development
- Strong knowledge of Express.js, MySQL, Sequelize and MongoDB
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript
- Good understanding of RESTful API design and Microservices architecture
- Familiar with Docker and containerized development
- Experience with version control systems like GitHub
- Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture
- Ability to write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code
- Experience with the NestJS framework using gRPC
- Knowledge of message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.)
- Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and remote collaboration tools
