Summary

OVA.Work is seeking a skilled API Test Engineer to design and execute API testing strategies for their web services. The role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, performance, and security of RESTful and SOAP APIs through automation and manual testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute API test cases for REST and SOAP services
• Develop and maintain API automation frameworks
• Validate API functionality, performance, reliability, and security
• Perform request and response validation using JSON and XML
• Test CRUD operations (GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE)
• Verify authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys)
• Perform database validation to ensure data integrity
• Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools
• Integrate API automation into CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams
• Create API test plans, reports, and documentation
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies

• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
• Experience working with microservices architecture
• Performance Testing: JMeter, LoadRunner, API Load Testing, Stress Testing, Spike Testing
• Security Testing: OWASP API Security, SQL Injection Testing, Authentication Testing, Authorization Testing, Rate Limiting Validation, API Vulnerability Testing
