JavaFX Developer

Summary

OVA.Work is seeking a talented JavaFX Developer to design, develop, and maintain rich desktop applications using Java and JavaFX. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-quality desktop software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain desktop applications using Java and JavaFX
• Develop responsive and visually appealing user interfaces using FXML and Scene Builder
• Implement application logic following MVC/MVVM architecture
• Integrate desktop applications with RESTful APIs, databases, and third-party services
• Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and memory usage
• Develop reusable UI components and custom JavaFX controls
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Perform unit testing and participate in code reviews
• Debug and resolve application defects and production issues
• Collaborate with QA, product owners, and business stakeholders
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development activities
• Maintain technical documentation and support software releases

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in Java development
• Hands-on experience with JavaFX desktop application development
• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8/11/17)
• Experience with JavaFX UI controls, layouts, and event handling
• Experience with FXML and Scene Builder
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
• Experience integrating REST APIs
• Strong SQL and database knowledge
• Experience with Git and version control
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Experience with Spring Boot backend integration
• Knowledge of MVVM or MVC design patterns
• Experience with multithreading and concurrency in Java
• Familiarity with JavaFX CSS styling
