Junior AI Developer

Summary

OVA.Work is looking for a motivated Junior AI Developer to join their AI and Machine Learning team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are passionate about artificial intelligence, machine learning, and software development, where they will develop, test, and deploy AI-powered applications while gaining hands-on experience with modern AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and testing AI and machine learning models
• Build and maintain AI-powered applications using Python and machine learning frameworks
• Support data collection, preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation
• Implement and fine-tune machine learning and deep learning models under the guidance of senior team members
• Develop applications using APIs for Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI solutions
• Assist in building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications and AI chatbots
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices
• Debug, test, and optimize AI applications for performance and reliability
• Collaborate with AI engineers, software developers, data scientists, and product teams
• Stay updated on emerging AI, machine learning, and Generative AI technologies

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 0–2 years of experience in AI, machine learning, or software development (internships and academic projects are welcome)
• Good understanding of machine learning fundamentals and basic deep learning concepts
• Proficiency in Python programming
• Familiarity with machine learning libraries such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow
• Basic knowledge of NLP, computer vision, or Generative AI concepts
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
• Familiarity with SQL and basic database concepts
• Experience using Git for version control
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini
• Exposure to frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex
• Basic understanding of prompt engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Familiarity with Hugging Face Transformers
• Experience with REST APIs and JSON
• Knowledge of Docker and Linux fundamentals
• Personal, academic, or open-source AI projects showcased on GitHub
