Summary
PCF delivers printed media to millions of homes across the Northeast region. The Logistics Routing & Optimization Intern will help with new client onboarding, route restructures, geographical updates, and specialized client programs while interacting with several departments.
Responsibilities
- Inputting, updating and maintaining geographic data within databases. Working with a team of logistic professionals and other stakeholders to complete projects
- Analyzing spatial data to identify patterns, trends and relationships
- Learn this system and assist with the configuration to fulfill the changing needs of our customers
- Act as customer liaison by providing regular ticket status to the customer/user
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Current college students entering their Junior, Senior year or Masters
- Must be enrolled in an academic program majoring in one of the following: Geographic Information System, Information Technology, Logistics Program
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Intermediate to Advanced skills in the use of Excel
- Well organized with attention to detail and ability to carry out tasks independently
- Excellent project management, organizational and follow-through skill set
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A Junior or Senior preferred
- Coursework from an accredited college or university in GIS planning, engineering, public or business administration or a closely related field would be preferred as well
