Summary
Penn State is seeking undergraduate student interns for the Sonar Research and Development Division at the Applied Research Laboratory. The interns will provide technical expertise in SONAR technologies.
Responsibilities
- Support piezoelectric material processing
- Characterization, production, and procurement for fleet transducers
- Support for transducer modeling, fabrication, and documentation
- Support for acoustic testing, data analysis, and data display
Skills
- Must be a U.S. citizen to apply
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen required
- Must be a current Penn State employee, student, or complete the internal or external application process
- Ability to work up to 20 hours/week during fall and spring semesters and 40 hours/week over the summer
- Candidates selected may be subject to a government security investigation
- Located at ARL's Main Laboratory at the University Park campus
- Relocation and housing are not provided
- Successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies
