Mobile Developer I - US Remote

Summary

PerfectServe provides clinical communication and physician scheduling solutions in the health IT space. The Mobile Developer I will develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native for iOS and Android, translate designs into responsive code, integrate APIs and SDKs, troubleshoot platform issues, and collaborate with senior engineers in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native for both iOS and Android under the guidance of more senior mobile engineers
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, responsive code
• Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs and third-party SDKs
• Debug and resolve bugs, performance issues, and platform-specific quirks between iOS and Android
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback from senior engineers
• Write and maintain basic unit and integration tests to help ensure application stability
• Communicate effectively in a remote environment, including maintaining an active on-camera presence during meetings when expected

Skills

• Some prior technical experience in mobile development, software development, or a related technical area **OR** a bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or another programming/technology-related field from an accredited higher education institution
• Working knowledge of React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript, including React fundamentals such as components, state, props, and hooks
• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and/or Agile delivery practices
• Familiarity with mobile UI/UX principles and an interest in building skills across both iOS and Android
• Experience using Git for version control and consuming REST APIs
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• This position requires interaction with people and technology while either standing or sitting
• In order to best service our customers on the phone, face-to-face, or on the computer, all employees must be able to communicate with or without reasonable accommodation
• Depending on the assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10 - 50 pounds
• Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information
• Health IT experience (a plus)
