Job description

Summary

PerfectServe provides healthcare communication and physician scheduling solutions in the health IT space. The company is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and safety of its healthcare SaaS products through manual and automated testing, while collaborating with development and product teams on test planning, execution, defect reporting, and release quality.

Responsibilities

  • Execute manual test cases
  • Document defects clearly
  • Write automation scripts
  • Apply API testing tools
  • Integrate tests in CI/CD
  • Understand system under test
  • Execute assigned test plans
  • Write own test plans
  • Manage test coverage
  • Manage QA environment integrity
  • Follow test standards
  • Ensure HIPAA test coverage
  • Participate in ceremonies
  • Partner with dev engineers
  • Collaborate with product team
  • Report defect status
  • Communicate test results
  • Write test documentation
  • Learn QA best practices
  • Understand release goals
  • Contribute to QA planning

Skills

  • 2–4 years of professional QA engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience executing test cases and documenting defects clearly
  • Experience with test automation, API testing, and CI/CD integration
  • Understanding of QA methodologies and quality metrics
  • Clear written and verbal communication, with a willingness to learn and act on feedback
  • Experience testing in a HIPAA/HITRUST-regulated healthcare environment
  • Performance and security testing experience
  • Experience building test frameworks from the ground up

Qualifications

Must Haves

  • 2–4 years of professional QA engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience executing test cases and documenting defects clearly
  • Experience with test automation, API testing, and CI/CD integration
  • Understanding of QA methodologies and quality metrics
  • Clear written and verbal communication, with a willingness to learn and act on feedback

Nice to Haves

  • Experience testing in a HIPAA/HITRUST-regulated healthcare environment
