Job description

Summary

Phenom is a leader in HR technology, transforming how organizations attract, engage, and retain talent at scale. They are seeking a highly motivated Associate Product Manager to support the development of their product offerings by collaborating with various teams and conducting market research.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market and customer research to identify user needs, workflows, and industry trends
  • Embed with customers and internal partners (Sales, Solutions, Engineering) to translate ambiguous requirements into clear, actionable product needs
  • Support product discovery by validating use cases, identifying root problems, and framing opportunities based on customer value and business impact
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, user stories, and roadmap priorities
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to support timely, high-quality product delivery
  • Prototype, configure, or validate solutions using existing product capabilities to demonstrate value prior to full productization
  • Act as a feedback bridge between customer deployments and core product teams, contributing to PRDs and prioritization discussions
  • Track post-launch adoption and outcomes, identifying gaps and opportunities for iteration
  • Assist with product marketing materials and sales enablement content
  • Monitor product performance and competitor offerings to inform continuous improvement

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred, ideally in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Product Management, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in product management, software engineering, or a related technical role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience using Jira or similar product management tools
  • Passion for building customer-centric products and learning product craft
  • Post-secondary degree graduate aspiring to grow a career in product management
  • Academic or professional background in Data Science, Product Management, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field
  • Hands-on experience working with technical teams or software products
