Job description

Summary

Pogo is developing a consumer insights platform that connects brands and retailers with purchase-verified consumers. The Product Designer will lead end-to-end design for the B2B platform and consumer app, shape product strategy and design systems, and collaborate closely with engineering and go-to-market teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design core product experiences end-to-end, from early exploration through launch and iteration for our up-and-coming B2B platform and consumer app with 3 million users (and growing)
  • Craft polished, delightful interfaces that build trust and showcase the power of our data and AI technology
  • Sweat the details - layout, typography, spacing, color, motion, interactions
  • Help define the product roadmap and lay the foundations for our design language, systems, and culture
  • Find creative ways to ship high-quality work in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, startup environment
  • Be 1 of 2 designers (for now), working cross-functionally with engineering and GTM
  • Work on the design for an up-and-coming enterprise product. Our enterprise demand is growing, and we are in the early stages of building a product that will ultimately be used by some of the largest companies in the world. You’ll use qualitative interviews and direct customer feedback to shape product decisions and design solutions tailored to enterprise needs
  • Shape our design culture from the ground up. As one of our early team members, you'll play a huge role in defining our culture, processes and traditions

Skills

  • • Experience designing software products
  • • You design quickly and efficiently, using Figma to gain super powers and reach “escape velocity design”. When needed, you make near-term tradeoffs and take shortcuts - even though you have strong design vision and awareness of how to improve the product later
  • • You're a design nerd at heart. You have a very high bar for design quality and strong opinions about what “great” looks like. You actively seek out the best-designed best products/designers, constantly collecting references from Twitter, Mobbin, and beyond. And you bring that level of rigor and polish into your own work
  • • You actively use LLMs like as ChatGPT or Claude in your design workflow
  • • You're relentless in pursuing the best solution - willing to explore, iterate, and even scrap a lot of your own work if it means creating a stronger product
  • • You're a full-stack designer. You've designed experiences from scratch and know how to bring it to life working cross-functionally with product and engineering
  • • You have strong product intuition and have a knack for creating experiences that index on simplicity and clarity. At the same time, you're willing to re-consider your initial intuition as you get more user data
  • • Bonus if you've done this at a startup, or have designed AI interactions before!
  • • Bonus if you have experience designing enterprise-grade products
