Job description

Summary

Procter & Gamble is a global consumer goods company focused on innovation and product supply. The Engineering Manager will provide technical leadership, guide teams, and deliver engineering, manufacturing, automation, robotics, and process innovations across technical centers and advanced manufacturing plants. The role also involves building technical capabilities, leading strategic projects, and ensuring HS&E and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, development, and implementation of complex control systems, robotics, Industry 4.0 technologies, and AI/ML solutions. Build digital landscapes for production equipment and lead data analytics for control system improvements
  • Lead all phases of mechanical process/equipment development and prototyping. Deliver disruptive solutions using modeling, analysis, and hands-on prototyping, and identify emerging technologies
  • Lead the translation of R&D innovations into scalable manufacturing processes. Drive packaging material validation, create technical specifications, optimize production lines, and manage supplier qualifications
  • Lead invention and refinement of material conversion and high-speed packaging technologies, driving advanced mechanical design and process optimization
  • Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of precision instrumentation and metrology systems for quality control and performance optimization
  • Lead conceptualization, development, and integration of cutting-edge robotic solutions for manufacturing tasks
  • Lead sustainable engineering solutions (waste, energy, water) and manage site infrastructure projects
  • Build long-term technical capability, lead adoption of advanced digital solutions, and ensure HS&E/Quality standards

Skills

  • **Education:** Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or related discipline *(e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical, Materials Science, Packaging Science, Environmental, Civil).*
  • **Experience:** 0-5 years of relevant work experience (internships, co-ops, research experience, academic count!)
  • **Technical Curiosity & Acumen:** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes, develop comprehensive technical solutions, and interpret data to drive decisions. A strong technical curiosity and understanding to proactively develop new approaches to complex problems
  • **Project Mindset:** A strong desire and demonstrated capability to lead projects, manage timelines/budgets, and drive results in a dynamic manufacturing environment
  • **Leadership & Collaboration:** Demonstrated leadership potential and experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders (from operators to senior management)

  • Proven application of mechanical systems engineering (3D CAD, CAE, machine design, mechatronics)
  • Experience in R&D, advanced manufacturing, or technical centers
  • Specific expertise in packaging materials/processes and/or precision instrumentation/metrology
