Summary
Qureos Inc is a company focused on building scalable digital products, and they are seeking a Remote Software Engineer to design, build, test, and maintain software systems. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for web, mobile, or backend systems
- Analyze requirements, recommend architectures, and implement features aligned with business KPIs (e.g., deployment frequency, reliability, defect rates)
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern programming languages and frameworks
- Build and maintain APIs (REST, GraphQL) and microservices for scalable distributed systems
- Conduct testing, debugging, and performance optimization across applications and services
- Collaborate asynchronously with cross‑functional teams using remote‑friendly tools and workflows
- Maintain documentation for codebases, systems, and processes to support long‑term maintainability
- Stay current with emerging technologies, cloud platforms, and best practices in remote engineering
Skills
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role with remote‑work capability
- Proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, C++, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar
- Strong understanding of software design principles, algorithms, and data structures
- Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and API integration
- Familiarity with Git‑based version control and collaborative workflows
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively in distributed teams
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or distributed systems is a strong plus
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with microservices, containerization (Docker), or infrastructure‑as‑code
- Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) or backend frameworks (Django, Spring, Node.js)
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to contribute to architectural decisions
