Job description

Summary

Rausch Sturm LLP is a creditors’ rights law firm seeking an Associate Attorney for its Oklahoma practice. The role focuses on evaluating files for collection eligibility and managing high-volume Oklahoma civil litigation through trial, hearings, and post-judgment actions.

Responsibilities

  • Full litigation responsibilities including review of correspondence, review of files to determine whether they are suit appropriate, review of answers, preparation of discovery, and preparation of dispositive motions and all aspects of conducting trial and appearing for hearings
  • Attorney is to be knowledgeable in post judgment remedies including attachment and garnishment
  • Familiar with state and federal consumer laws and keep abreast of any changes in state or local rules
  • Responsible for managing high-volume docket of civil litigation cases in the area of debt-collection through all phases of litigation from commencement through post-judgment actions

Skills

  • Licensure is required with admission to the Oklahoma Bar
  • Ability to prioritize and organize a high volume of information
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
  • A law degree
  • Bar admission in Oklahoma
  • 2 to 4 years of experience as a general litigation attorney
  • Experience in creditor's rights litigation
  • Experience in appellate court and/or Federal Court
