The Data Collection Specialist will collect, validate, document, and transform data from security systems and incident reports while supporting reporting pipelines and collaborating with security operations, intelligence analysts, and client services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured data gathering from security systems, monitoring platforms, and incident reports, ensuring strict adherence to standard operating procedures
• Review collected data for completeness, consistency, and correctness; flag anomalies and resolve discrepancies before they reach downstream systems
• Log all collection activities, update tracking tools, and maintain clear, audit-ready records of data provenance and processing steps
• Prepare datasets for analysis and client reporting; generate summaries and basic visualizations that communicate findings clearly to stakeholders
• Work closely with security operations, intelligence analysts, and client services to understand data requirements and deliver against timelines

Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience in data collection, data entry, research operations, or a related analytical role
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word) and comfort learning proprietary data platforms
• Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Experience in security, intelligence, or monitoring operations environments
• Familiarity with data visualization tools or basic reporting platforms
• Exposure to quality assurance or compliance-driven workflows
