Summary
RLDatix is on a mission to transform care delivery worldwide, ensuring every patient receives the safest, highest-quality care. They are seeking a Software Engineer III to join their OneSource product team, focusing on backend-heavy, full-stack development to enhance their healthcare operations platform.
Responsibilities
- Own backend-heavy, full-stack feature development across OneSource — writing PHP application code, MySQL data work, API integrations, and targeted frontend fixes — in order to deliver both new capabilities and technical maintenance in a roughly 50/50 balance
- Trace behavior through a layered, framework-based application (October CMS on Laravel and Symfony) — navigating event- and hook-driven workflows, indirect code paths, and rich data relationships — in order to independently deliver features at the component level
- Design and evolve search, integration, and API touchpoints (OpenSearch/ElasticSearch and third-party APIs) to keep the platform reliable and performant as data volumes and use cases grow
- Diagnose and resolve moderately complex issues across the application, data layer, and automated deployment pipelines — troubleshooting failures well enough to remediate or direct escalation appropriately
- Contribute to modernization initiatives as the roadmap matures — including frontend modernization into a decoupled SPA architecture, Python-based AI pipelines and product integrations, and infrastructure evolution — using AI development tools pragmatically while maintaining ownership of technical decisions and code quality
Skills
- 4–6+ years of professional software development experience with strong PHP and MySQL capability
- Proven success working in layered MVC frameworks with complex, event- or hook-driven behavior (Laravel, Symfony, October CMS, or comparable framework-based applications)
- In-depth knowledge on how to inherit and improve complex business applications
- Cloud and infrastructure fluency, especially Kubernetes
- Practical Python experience supporting automation, AI, or backend services
- Ability to commute to the Lehi office for occasional collaboration
- Sincere interest in building software that directly improves patient safety
- A knack for working self-directedly on a small, lean team
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Docker experience
- Terraform experience
- OpenSearch/ElasticSearch experience
- Automated CI/CD experience
- AI integration or agent-building experience
