Summary
Robertson, Anschutz, Schneid, Crane & Partners, PLLC is a national law firm specializing in creditors’ rights and real estate law. The Title Examiner will review title reports and conduct title research for mortgage foreclosure transactions, identifying defendants, notice parties, superior interests, title defects, and curative issues.
Responsibilities
- Examine title reports provided by third party search vendors for mortgage foreclosure transactions
- Identify necessary Defendants to a judicial mortgage foreclosure action
- Identify parties required to receive notice of a non-judicial foreclosure action
- Identify superior interests, title defects and title curative issues
- Utilize online search portals for in-house tax and title searches
- Ability to use online tools to plot metes and bounds legal descriptions
- Knowledge of using online websites to obtain aerial views of the subject property
Skills
- 3-5 years of title examination experience is required – preferably in the mortgage foreclosure arena
- Superior organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and efficiency
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
- Experience using PDF applications such as Adobe Acrobat and eCopy to markup title reports
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience performing paperless title examinations
- Multi-state examination experience, preferably in some or all of the following states: CA, DE, GA, KY, IL, MD, NC, OH, SC, TN, TX, MI and VA
