Remote AI Engineer

Summary

RoShay Services is focused on building and deploying secure Generative AI systems for defense applications. The Forward Deployed AI Engineer will collaborate with strategic customers to implement solutions and ensure successful adoption of AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Embed with strategic customers to identify problems and implement solutions
• Design, build, deploy, and operate AI systems in cloud, on-prem, and air-gapped environments
• Prototype and improve products based on field insights
• Lead solution delivery, define roadmaps, and create reusable deployment patterns
• Serve as the technical liaison to customer leadership, ensuring clear communication and successful adoption

Skills

• 3+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience, preferably in customer-facing or high-assurance environments
• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript, designing APIs, data pipelines, and backend frameworks
• Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI fundamentals
• Strong communication skills, ability to work in ambiguity, and a mission-driven mindset
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with secure deployment environments
• Experience with information retrieval
• Experience with open-source LLMs
• Experience with inference frameworks

Qualifications
