Summary
Salmon is a technology-driven financial company building banking and lending platforms across Southeast Asia. The Systems Analyst will bring structure to the Cloud Infrastructure team by gathering and validating requirements, documenting processes and architectures, identifying risks and dependencies, and translating business needs into clear technical specifications.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the connective layer between engineers, architects, product teams, and business stakeholders on cloud infrastructure and internal platform initiatives
- Step into a team where analytical work is currently distributed informally, and help establish it as a dedicated, structured function
- Work across the full lifecycle of infrastructure decisions — from early requirements gathering through documentation of final architecture and process agreements
- Gather, structure, and validate requirements for cloud infrastructure and internal platform services through interviews and working sessions with engineers, architects, product, and business teams
- Document current and target-state processes, stakeholder roles, and interaction points across infrastructure systems
- Identify technical dependencies, constraints, risks, and conflicting requirements before they become delivery blockers
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements, specifications, use cases, diagrams, and acceptance criteria
- Maintain documentation for processes, systems, integrations, and infrastructure services, and close gaps as you find them
- Support the breakdown of initiatives into implementation-ready tasks, and document decisions from architectural and technical discussions
Skills
- Experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or Technical Analyst in an engineering or technology environment
- Strong skills in requirements elicitation, analysis, structuring, and documentation
- General understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and distributed systems
- Experience describing processes and system interactions using BPMN, UML, C4, or similar methodologies
- Comfortable working with technical documentation, APIs, integrations, and architecture diagrams
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical topics for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or another cloud platform
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, DevOps, SRE, and configuration-management principles
- Familiarity with networking, information security, monitoring, and identity and access management
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Miro, [Draw.io](http://Draw.io), PlantUML, or similar tools
- Experience with cloud transformation, infrastructure modernization, system migration, or internal platform projects
