Clinical Specialist - Charleston/Huntington, WV

Summary

Saluda Medical is a commercial-stage medical device company focused on treating chronic neurological conditions through its closed-loop neuromodulation platform. The Clinical Specialist provides clinical and technical support to sales representatives, physicians, hospitals, and patients, including product education, demonstrations, procedural support, troubleshooting, programming, and patient follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with physicians and staff at assigned clinical sites by providing a high level of service and responsiveness by providing ongoing education and clinical expertise regarding the use of the company’s products
• Possess and share superior clinical knowledge of the Company’s products, their clinical applications, instructions for use and procedural techniques
• Provide technical and educational training to physicians and staff on the use of the company’s products
• Provide case support, including Operating Room/Procedure support
• Work with sales, marketing, and R & D personnel to communicate product, clinical and market information to appropriate Saluda personnel to support and develop product improvements
• Serve as primary resource for clinical support including, but not limited to: troubleshooting, programming, and patient follow-up for company products
• Perform patient follow-up to assure customer and patient success with the implanted products
• Develop and maintain business relationships with hospital personnel
• Visit customers and patients in a clinical environment (hospitals, operating rooms, clinics and surgical centers)

Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years of experience in a clinical or hospital environment
• 3+ years of experience in implantable medical devices
• Operating room experience
