Summary
Secunetics provides network infrastructure intelligence services to government agencies and commercial clients. They are seeking an Automation Engineer with Network Experience to optimize network performance and work closely with clients. This role requires strong communication skills and a passion for technology.

Skills
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
- 3+ years of network operations and engineering experience
- Expert level experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent
- Experience implementing and configuring IPv6 addressing schemes, routing, and security, including in cloud environments
- Solid understanding of networking technologies including BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, TAPs, and traffic brokers
- Proficiency writing automations with scripting languages such as Python and Bash
- Working knowledge of YANG, YAML, and JSON
- Familiarity with using REST APIs
- Working knowledge of Git
- Working knowledge of Docker or Podman
- Excellent understanding of technology concepts such as SDLC, systems engineering, IT performance management, IT operations, operational monitoring, security monitoring, and KPIs
- Knowledge of various IT infrastructure technologies (e.g., applications, servers, networks, and storage)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including technical writing
- Familiarity with Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO)
- Familiarity with Kubernetes
- CCNA certification
- Extensive experience in packet analysis (Wireshark)
- Familiarity with ITILv3 concepts, especially Service Operations
