Job description

Summary

SemiAnalysis is an independent research and analysis firm specializing in the Semiconductor and AI industries. They are seeking a Semiconductor & AI Research Intern to work on hands-on projects involving AI hardware, semiconductor manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems while collaborating with a team of engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, build, and program opto-mechanical 3D machine vision systems, automate data acquisition and image reconstruction
  • Developing/applying understanding of optics, machine vision, etc, to and VIS automated microscopy platforms
  • Developing automation/standardization solutions, working on ETLs and databases
  • Deconstruction and analysis of advanced AI products

Skills

  • Strong fundamentals in the hard sciences, applied physics, engineering
  • A working skillset in at least one programming language, e.g. Python, C++, Rust
  • Interest in semiconductors, electron devices, computer architecture, AI
  • A preference for hands-on work and close collaboration
  • Past experience in the semiconductor or AI domains
  • Proven ability to interpret analytical or scientific data
  • Strong organizational skills and an understanding of statistics and process controls

Qualifications

Must Haves

  • Strong fundamentals in the hard sciences, applied physics, engineering
  • A working skillset in at least one programming language, e.g. Python, C++, Rust
  • Interest in semiconductors, electron devices, computer architecture, AI
