Summary
Siemens Digital Industries Software is a global software company focused on computer-aided design, 3D modeling, and simulation for innovative manufacturers. The Digital Thread & Systems Engineering Intern will support Capital PreSales by developing engineering datasets, digital thread demonstrations, proof-of-concept solutions, and model-based engineering workflows across aerospace, defense, automotive, and software-defined product development.
Responsibilities
- Develop aerospace and automotive engineering datasets used for demonstrations and technical enablement
- Support Digital Thread initiatives connecting requirements, systems, software, electrical, and lifecycle information
- Assist in building and validating proof-of-concept solutions using Siemens Capital and the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio
- Contribute to systems engineering and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) workflows
- Create technical documentation, presentations, and demonstration assets
- Participate in technical reviews, innovation projects, and customer-focused engineering initiatives
Skills
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at an accredited university
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship by the company
- A minimum 3.0 GPA
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
- Comfortable working in a fully remote environment within the United States of America
- Interest in digital engineering, systems thinking, and software-defined products
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Python, scripting, or data analysis is a plus
