Job description

Summary

Sorenson Communications is a leading provider of language services for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing. They are seeking an ASL Technology Research Intern to support their English-to-Gloss translation model and avatar signing pipeline through glossing and annotating ASL Classifier video data.

Responsibilities

  • Native ASL signing skills
  • Background in linguistics, CS, data science, or a combination
  • Familiarity with ASL classifier systems is a plus
  • Interest in sign language generation technology
  • Comfortable with video annotation tools and/or basic data analysis
