Summary
Southwire Company, LLC is a technology and innovation company that manufactures wire, cable, electrical products, and related solutions. The Channel Marketing Intern will support the Marketing team by developing campaign content, conducting market research, creating marketing materials, tracking campaign performance, supporting promotional campaigns and events, and contributing to projects that build brand awareness, strengthen customer engagement, and drive business growth.
Responsibilities
- Your intern assignment is generally 10-12 weeks, and co-op assignment is generally 16-18 weeks and will include an assigned project and opportunities to present your work
- You will also collaborate on other exciting projects and work with talented peers and inspirational leaders, many of whom began as interns and co-ops themselves
- You will be provided a robust developmental experience through an immersive onboarding and offboarding experience, assigned a mentor, networking opportunities, organized events, activities, and community service /volunteer initiatives
- You will have the opportunity to impact the future of the organization, all the while being exposed to a world-class program community
- Finally, our rising senior interns and co-ops are considered for full-time employment opportunities
- Assist in developing content for various marketing campaigns, social media, email newsletters, and internal communications
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer insights
- Support creation and editing of marketing materials including presentations, flyers, and product sheets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on promotional campaigns and product launches
- Help manage updates to various company online platforms
- Assist in tracking campaign performance metrics and preparing reports
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new marketing ideas and strategies
- Support event planning, logistics, and execution for tradeshows, webinars, or internal events
- Perform other marketing-related duties as assigned
Skills
- * Minimum 2.5 GPA
- * Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications
- * Reliable transportation to and from work
- * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- * Strong organization, planning, and analytical skills
- * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or other relevant tools
