Summary
Sparksoft Corporation is an IT solutions company serving government clients and delivering technology solutions through innovation and specialized delivery centers. The Python Developer will develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise automation solutions, including scalable Python frameworks and applications, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. The role also supports code quality, test coverage, release velocity, and production stability through automation and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop, debug, and maintain Python-based automation scripts and applications
- Refactor existing Python scripts to align with enterprise automation standards and evolving business requirements
- Design and build scalable, flexible, and maintainable automation frameworks using Python
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines
- Utilize GitHub and JIRA to manage work, track issues, and collaborate effectively with team members
- Improve test coverage, enhance release velocity, and support production stability through automation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Skills
- 4 to 6 years of overall professional experience
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on Python development experience
- Strong expertise with GitHub and Jenkins
- Experience using JIRA and Confluence
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Candidates must have lived in the United States for at least 3 of the past 5 years
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience supporting federal government projects, preferably CMS programs
- Exposure to or understanding of mainframe systems
