IBP & PP/DS Consultant

Summary

Syntax is seeking an IBP & PP/DS Consultant to design, configure, and support integrated SAP planning solutions that improve forecasting, production efficiency, and supply chain responsiveness. The role partners with business, technical, and project stakeholders across requirements gathering, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP IBP and PP/DS functionality based on defined business and project requirements
• Work with business stakeholders to understand planning requirements and support the alignment of business processes with SAP standard functionality
• Participate in fit-to-standard and requirements workshops and document business requirements, process decisions, and functional requirements
• Perform hands-on configuration across relevant planning areas, including demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, and production planning and scheduling
• Support integration between SAP IBP, PP/DS, S/4HANA, and related supply chain and manufacturing processes
• Analyze planning data and assist with identifying and resolving process, configuration, and data issues
• Prepare and execute unit and integration testing and support user acceptance testing
• Assist with data migration and validation, cutover activities, go-live, and post-go-live stabilization
• Troubleshoot functional issues and work with technical and functional teams to resolve defects and configuration issues
• Create and maintain functional documentation, process flows, test scripts, training materials, and knowledge transfer documentation
• Provide functional support and knowledge transfer to business users as needed
• Work collaboratively with functional, technical, and project teams to complete assigned deliverables and support successful project milestones

Skills

• * Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP APO, or related advanced planning tools
• * Exposure to cloud-based planning solutions and enterprise transformation programs
• * Experience in consulting or client-facing project delivery
• * Knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, or operations planning processes in a global environment
• * Strong analytical skills and comfort working with planning data and scenario analysis
• * An appreciation for innovation, continuous improvement, and modern delivery approaches, including automation and AI-enabled services
• * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred
• * SAP certification in IBP, PP/DS, or supply chain planning solutions preferred
• * Additional certifications in supply chain planning, manufacturing, or SAP technologies are an asset
