Job description
Summary
ProSidian Consulting is a management and operations consulting firm seeking a Business Intelligence/Cognos Support Consultant. The role involves providing operations and maintenance support for a Cognos Enterprise Planning project, working with users to enhance product functionality and supporting financial divisions.
Responsibilities
- Provide operations and maintenance functional support for a Cognos Enterprise Planning project
- Working primarily on-site supporting a budgeting, accounting and other financial divisions using Oracle Federal Financials and legacy accounting systems environments
- Collect requirements for enhancing product functionality
- Coordinating with development team to implement changes
- Performing testing
- Providing ad-hoc user support
- Providing training
Skills
- Bachelors or higher level degree
- DoD experience
- 1+ years of experience supporting Business Intelligence /Information Management projects
- General Consulting skills. Good attention to detail and ability to perform testing, document requirements, and assist users
- Familiarity with the Cognos suite of software
- Familiarity with the Oracle Federal Financial suite of software
- 1+ years of experience in consulting and project management
- 1+ years of experience supporting Business Intelligence/Information Management projects
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced and changing work environment
- Must be able to work independently
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Relationship management skills (influence, negotiation, consulting, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong Leadership & Project Management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities on an ongoing basis
- Ability to negotiate priorities and resolve conflict
- The successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to lead in a team environment
- He/she must be able to work effectively at all levels of the organization, be results oriented, have strong analytical and decision-making abilities, and a creative problem solver
