Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Junior Data Engineer to join their team. The role involves working with data warehousing principles, conducting analysis, and collaborating with stakeholders to provide data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- 1-3 years of experience in ETL/ELT and Data Warehousing principles utilizing Datastage and/or python and snowflake and dbt
- Organize and schedule meetings with business stakeholders to understand business challenges, gather requirements, and define problem statements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify corrective actions and recommend data-driven solutions to business issues
- Conduct in-depth analysis of complex business problems and provide actionable insights to support decision-making
- Analyze and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement
- Prepare, present, and communicate key findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
- Develop, maintain, and enhance ad-hoc reports, standard reports, dashboards, and performance metrics
- Identify root causes of business issues and create supporting data analyses to validate findings and recommendations
- Design, develop, and manage databases, data models, and SQL Server solutions to support reporting and analytics requirements
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
- Build and maintain statistical models to generate insights from historical business data and performance trends
- Analyze product, sales, and operational data to identify high-performing products and business growth opportunities
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting and analytical outputs
- Utilize Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau, SAS, Cognos, or similar platforms to create visualizations and dashboards
- Create professional reports, presentations, and documentation using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making and continuous business improvement initiatives
