Job description

Summary

They are seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer to support geolocation and data integration initiatives within a data engineering and analytics environment, working closely with stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy applications that enable data processing and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop applications and analytics tools supporting data integration and geolocation capabilities
  • Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, including cyber-related datasets
  • Support data tagging, transformation, and enrichment workflows
  • Assist in building automation solutions for data and metadata analysis
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions
  • Contribute to integration of analytics capabilities into existing customer-supported tools

Skills

  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, including Java and Python
  • Experience with big data and distributed processing frameworks, including PySpark, ETL pipelines, Pig, MapReduce, JSON, BSON, and Hadoop
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must hold an active clearance with a Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Familiarity with enterprise data systems, internal tooling, or data repositories
  • Experience working with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
  • Exposure to data analytics or geospatial processing concepts
