Jr. Network Technician

Summary

Technologent is a Global Provider of Edge-to-Edge℠ Information Technology Solutions and Services for Fortune 1000 and SMB companies. They are seeking a motivated Junior Network Technician to support networking and infrastructure operations throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

Responsibilities

• Rack and stack of network equipment
• Hardware installations
• Basic switch configuration
• Cabling
• Equipment replacements
• Troubleshooting connectivity issues
• Assisting senior engineers with network deployments and maintenance

Skills

• Must be local to the DFW area
• Able to travel between locations as needed
• Motivated to support networking and infrastructure operations
• Entry-level, hands-on role
• Responsibilities include rack and stack of network equipment, hardware installations, basic switch configuration, cabling, equipment replacements, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and assisting senior engineers with network deployments and maintenance
• Local to the Dallas-Fort Worth area
• Willing and able to travel between customer sites throughout DFW
• CCNA certification (preferred) or actively pursuing certification
• Basic experience with Cisco switch configuration and troubleshooting
• Experience with rack and stack, structured cabling, and hardware installations
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching)
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn from senior engineers
