Summary
TELUS Health is a global health and well-being provider focused on improving physical, mental, and financial health outcomes through technology and specialized services. The Client Service Analyst II supports pension and benefits administration by handling client inquiries, complex calculations, data management, payment processing, actuarial valuation support, and special projects.
Responsibilities
- Respond to plan inquiries and requests from clients promptly and professionally
- Assist in calculating and processing timely payment of termination, retirement, and death benefits for simple plans
- Support the consulting team in fostering strong relationships with clients
- Help coordinate information flow between clients and trustees
- Assist in reconciling plan assets and plan memberships
- Support the preparation of year-end annual pension statements
- Assist in preparing membership and asset data for actuarial valuations
- Apply and interpret basic pension benefit calculations in accordance with plan provisions and legislative requirements
- Work with pension databases to ensure data accuracy
- Attend internal training sessions to stay updated on industry trends and topics
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to add value
- Assist with special projects as required to support team goals
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Mathematics or Actuarial Science
- Proven ability to perform complex calculations in real-time
- A self-starter with a positive outlook and a high degree of attention to detail
- Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible enough to float between different client projects as needed
- 1–3+ years of professional experience
- Prior experience in Pension or Benefits Administration
- Experience within a call center environment (if paired with the required math degree)
