The
Department of Political Science at Texas State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor to teach required and elective undergraduate and graduate (MA) courses. The department awards the Bachelor’s Degree and Master of Arts Degree.
Required Qualifications
- Earned PhD in political science by May 2027.
- Demonstrated potential for exceptional scholarly research and publication focusing on international law and/or international political economy with a focus on trade issues.
- Ability to teach introductory international relations courses as well as advanced courses in international law or international political economy with a focus on trade issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to teach courses on East Asian politics from a Comparative Politics perspective.
- Demonstrated potential for exceptional teaching in relevant areas.
- Evidence of effective communication and/or collaborative skills.
