Summary
The Boldt Company is an employee-owned organization delivering complex renewable energy, power generation, and industrial projects. The Traveling Project Engineer supports project delivery from planning through execution by coordinating drawings, RFIs, submittals, schedules, and cost information, while collaborating with project teams and participating in site walks, inspections, and daily construction activities.
Responsibilities
- In this role, you’ll be an integral part of delivering renewable energy, power generation, and industrial projects across the U.S., working side‑by‑side with experienced project leaders and field teams from planning through execution
- This is a hands‑on, relationship‑driven role that collaborates closely with project managers, superintendents, field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to keep work moving and aligned
- It coordinates drawings, RFIs, submittals, schedules, and cost information with clarity and responsiveness, while staying actively involved in site walks, inspections, and daily construction activities to understand sequencing, quality, and safety expectations
- Through strong relationships and open communication, this role supports projects from early execution through successful delivery on job sites across the country
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Clear, respectful communication skills and a collaborative, team‑first mindset
- Willingness to travel 100% to project sites
- A genuine interest in building strong working relationships with field teams, subcontractors, and project partners
- Ability to listen, learn, and contribute in fast‑paced, team‑oriented environments
- Comfort asking questions, sharing ideas, and working through challenges together
- Field experience in renewable energy, power generation, and/or industrial construction
- Exposure to construction or engineering software is a plus
