Accountant

Summary

Therapists Beyond Borders is seeking a compassionate, pro-bono accountant to support its mission of empowering worldwide communities that care for individuals with disabilities through rehabilitation-focused training programs. The volunteer accountant will handle account reconciliation, tax submissions, payroll taxes, bookkeeping, compliance consultation, and optional account auditing.

Responsibilities

• Account reconciliation for one checking account and one savings account quarterly
• IRS Form 990 tax submission
• Payroll and related taxes for two part-time employees
• Monthly bookkeeping for seven accounts involving around 1,400 transactions per year
• General compliance consultation
• Account auditing (not a requirement)

Skills

• Must be based in the USA
• Demonstrate high-levels of fiduciary responsibility
• Proficiency in Quickbooks
