Summary
Thrivent is a financial services organization offering a college internship program designed to provide meaningful work experience and exposure to multiple business areas. The Recruiting Specialist Intern will support the Talent Acquisition team by assisting with recruiting operations, candidate communication, onboarding logistics, candidate data management, and process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assist in building and maintaining a pipeline of diverse candidates and tracking their progress through the selection process
- Participate in candidate outreach and communication, including scheduling and follow-ups
- Help coordinate logistics for onboarding, intern field events and offboarding
- Learn to use systems like Workday and CRM tools to manage candidate data and reporting
- Collaborate with recruiting specialists and leaders to identify process improvements
- Shadow and support the implementation of the Recruiting Playbook and selection best practices
Skills
- Current college junior, senior, or recent college graduate
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business, or related field
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Interest in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR operations
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Takes personal responsibility for the quality and content of the work
- Complies with information confidentiality requirements where applicable
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships by collaborating with business partners and teams by fully understanding their needs and consistently meeting their expectations
- Strong problem identification and analytical skills
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in the United States for indefinite period without sponsorship
- Familiarity with Workday or CRM tools
